New Domain Name, We are now ruralcode.com

We have a new domain name! It is http://ruralcode.com . The old address http://redwoodcreek.writtinfool.com will still work and direct you to the new site but is being depreciated. At this time, ruralcode. net and ruralcode.org also direct you to this same site but may be used for more specific purposes in the future. If anyone has any problems getting their links to work, please let me know.

Site Upgrade Done

It may not look it, but we have just completed a major upgrade of this site. We have a new, up to date, and more secure server. Our programming and data services have been upgraded. And, our front end user space is now the latest version. All content should have been preserved and links should all work but if anyone notices any kinks or has any problems please let me know so I can fix it.

Rural Fire Fee

There is a bill in the California Senate to create a yearly fire protection fee for rural property owners. It is Senate bill 1617. Check out page one of the Times Standard for May 20, 2008 for details. Here is a link to the online article.

Condolences For Roger Rodoni

We wish to express our condolences to the family of Supervisor Roger Rodoni. He was a great supporter of country living and the rural way of life and will be missed.

comment from planners meeting

Fair representation of rural communities

My husband and I were talking after the meeting last night and had the idea of creating gatherings in the rural areas. So the communities can express their views/questions/ideas. Then there could be a representative from each meeting that would share those items with the planning department/commission. I'd like to hear feed back on this idea. Thanks :)
